Marketing Assistant

EMERGE is currently looking for a Marketing and PR volunteer to assist in fulfilling the objectives defined in EMERGE’s marketing plan to raise the profile of the organisation and to ensure our events and services are well publicised.
 
The role will involve:
    •    Developing and maintaining the press list ensuring it is kept up to date and undertaking media activity including press work
    •    Working on PR opportunities to raise the profile of our services
    •    Taking photos as appropriate to contribute to marketing initiatives
    •    Helping to manage the content of EMERGE’s website
    •    Contributing to EMERGE’s Twitter and Facebook accounts & researching and writing content our blog.
 
Skills/Experience needed:
You must be highly literate and numerate with excellent communication skills, including the ability to deal with staff, volunteers and customers politely and informatively. You must have a flair for creative writing in order to write inspiring content for the website and social media accounts. You must have excellent organisational and planning skills, be able to work on your own initiative and have a problem-solving outlook and a high degree of personal motivation.
Ideally you will have experience of PR and marketing especially with regards to assisting with website and social media activities.

Fundraising Assistant

FareShare is looking for a volunteer Fundraising Assistant to ensure FareShare’s fundraising targets are met.
 
The role will involve:
    •    Identifying potential sources of funding, such as charitable trusts, businesses and agencies, to which we could apply and writing fundraising applications
    •    Assisting in the organisation of fundraising events
    •    Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all funding applications
    •    Helping to write content for funding bids and researching information which can be used in funding bids.
 
Skills/Experience needed:
You must be highly literate and numerate with excellent communication skills including the ability to talk to staff, volunteers, customers and potential funders politely and informatively.
You should have a high degree of personal motivation, the ability to use your own initiative and have a problem-solving outlook.
Ideally you will have experience of fundraising, have a proven flair with language and the ability to positively influence others.
