The polytunnel for the 'grow-your-own' garden is almost done!
Thanks to the helping hands of the volunteers who helped set up the tunnel in altogether three set-up sessions, the polytunnel is almost ready to stage its first workshops and welcome its first guests. Soon East Manchester residents will have the chance to cut their carbon footprint and to tackle climate change from the comfort of their own home or garden.
The only thing that's left to do is to add the doors, as they are still missing at the moment. Thanks to Original Organics, we've even got our own wormery now which will help us run the garden in a very environmentally-friendly way and which will provide high-quality soil for the plants.
The workshops are very likely to start in mid-May, but first there will be an amazing launch ceremony at the beginning of the month. In this context, Manchester residents are more than welcome to join us when we officially open the doors (which will hopefully be part of the polytunnel by then) of the East Manchester 'grow-your-own' garden. We're definitely looking forward to seeing you there and we'll let you know about the exact date and time soon!
Also, anyone who is interested in attending the workshops, please get in touch with Ben via email or call 0161 223 8200.
