We recommend that all schools involve the pupils in the running of their recycling programme as far as possible. This team of pupils, along with an adult co-ordinator will facilitate the smooth running of the recycling programme.
They can assist with:
- Managing the service i.e. collecting and sorting materials
- Promoting the 3Rs
- Monitoring and encouraging participation
- Developing the service/materials collected
