Public Transport
From the West (i.e. coming from Manchester) – At Manchester Piccadilly get the 219 Stagecoach bus (approx every 10 mins) from outside Tesco Express. It also stops at Piccadilly Station (near the taxi rank). Ask for a ticket to New Smithfield Market (£1.50). It may be worth buying a dayrider (£3.50) if you wish to return via bus. The bus ride takes approx 15 mins. Get off the bus at the bus stop after the Queen Anne pub (which you will pass on your left hand side). Cross over Ashton Old Road and continue walking east. Turn right onto Whitworth St E and you will see the entrance to the market in front of you to the left.
By Car
If you are travelling by car, EMERGE's head office is accessible by following the brown signs to New Smithfield Market from Ashton Old Road (A635). This will take you on a one-way system to the Market's entrance.
