The materials that can be collected for recycling in Old Trafford and Gorse Hill are:

in the black box

• glass bottles &jars
  These need to be emptied & rinsed out
• aluminium foil, food & drink cans
  Please rinse these out
• thin card e.g. cereal packets
• envelopes & telephone directories
• dry textiles &shoes (including clothes, curtains, sheets, rags, shoes tied together)
  Please place these in a carrier bag
  

in the thick green sack

• paper
• newspapers, magazines & pamphlets
  

in the thin green plastic bag

• plastic bottles (ONLY) - rinsed out & flattened
  

in the small battery bag

• household batteries – for example 6V, D, C, AA, AAA, 9V, button &mobile
  

Please separate the materials as indicated above, as this helps us to increase the quality and quantity of what is recycled and to keep costs down.
