Question Time - Rattling the Food Supply Chains

Dear All,

We would like to thank everyone who came along to the Question Time event on food and sustainability yesterday. Also, many thanks to everyone who helped us spread the word about the event. We could not have done this without your help.
We hope you had a great evening and both the event and discussion lived up to your expectations.

We apologise again that only a small fraction of questions and topics submitted by the audience could be addressed by the panel, however we do hope you found the debate insightful.

We have had an amazing response to the event and have already received a lot of great feedback from both audience members and participating businesses. Just hours before the event, people kept calling us to put their names on the guest list and to submit further questions. It is great to see that there are so many people – both young and old, students and professionals – who are passionate about the environment and about leading a (more) sustainable lifestyle.

We hope to make this event an annual tradition, as we feel that certain issues, such as food and sustainability, do not get the attention they deserve from both the public and the media, and are often downplayed and labeled as short-term fads. Also, this type of event empowers students, professionals as well as people from the wider community to have their questions on a particular topic that are important to them answered by a panel of experts they may not have access to otherwise.

For more information about the event, please visit Lucy Danger's 3 Rs Recycling blog and the Manchester Climate Fortnightly blog.

Also, if you attended this event and you wish to tell us about what you liked and what could be improved, please download our feedback form and email the completed form to Mareen.

All the best,
the EMERGE team!
