Zero Waste Champions
The average person in the UK throws away seven times their own body weight every year.
By reducing the amount of stuff we throw away we could conserve resources, combat climate change, reduce pollution to the land, water and air and save money. EMERGE wants YOU to become a Champion and take the Zero Waste Challenge and together we can achieve the 3Rs: Reuse, Recycle and Reduce.
Can you help the environment and reduce the amount of stuff you throw away to as close to zero as possible in one month?
Being a Zero Waste Champion is easy and can be done by anyone. All you need is a way of weighing your rubbish, recording it and of course, lots of enthusiasm!
- We hold induction sessions where you’ll receive advice and help on how to work towards achieving Zero waste.
- Regular meetings and discussions are held to help build on your progress.
- You will have the opportunity to attend events during the month to learn more about waste and resources.
- Completing the Zero Waste Challenge over the period of a month is easy and fun; hopefully you’ll become a Champion for the Zero Waste Project too!
If you have a passion for the environment, recycling and reducing waste going to landfill, this is the challenge for you!
How can you get involved?
